Prom Entry, Exit & Safety Procedure

1. Arrival & Check-In

• Students must arrive and check in at the designated entrance by 8:30 PM.
  
  

• Tickets and valid identification are required at check-in.
  
  

• No outside food, drinks, or bags are allowed.
  
  

• Exceptions: Small clutch purses or clear plastic, vinyl, or PVC bags not exceeding 12" x 6" x 12".
  
  

• Random breathalyzer tests may be administered.
  
  

• Late entry is not permitted unless prior administrative approval has been granted.

2. During the Event

• Students are expected to remain inside the venue for the entirety of the event.
  
  

• If a student needs to go to their vehicle:
  
  

• They must inform a staff member.
  
  

• They will be escorted by staff to and from the vehicle.
  
  

• Reentry without a staff escort is not permitted.

3. Early Departure

• Students may leave early at any time.
  
  

• However, once a student exits the venue without a staff escort, they will not be permitted to return for any reason.

4. End of the Event

• Prom concludes at 11:00 PM.
  
  

• Students must make transportation arrangements in advance.
  
  

• All rides should be on-site and ready for pickup by 11:00 PM.
  
  

• Staff will supervise dismissal to help ensure student safety.

5. Other Important Items

• Tickets are non-refundable

• Only students who are Juniors or Seniors may attend Prom. Students who are underclassmen may only attend if invited and attending with a Junior or a Senior. Underclassmen students purchase a ticket and are not attending with a Junior or Senior will not be permitted into the dance and the ticket will not be refunded. 

• Students must adhere to the rules and guidelines of the Milford Exempted Village School District Handbook while attending Prom.

• Students will not engage in inappropriate or lewd behavior.

• Students who break these rules or test positive for the use of intoxicants will be removed from Prom, suspended and/or expelled from school and/or legal action could be taken. 

• Students who are not from Milford and are guests, must complete this form and turn it into the Main Office at Milford High School: Guest Form
